Ending Note
Dear Readers, Contributors, and the JURIS Team,
As I sit down to write this letter, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey that JURIS has taken since its inception. What started as an ambitious idea—a vision to create a commercial awareness newsletter that would bridge the gap between law, business, and current affairs—quickly transformed into something tangible, something real. Today, JURIS is not just a newsletter; it is a platform, a conversation starter, and most importantly, a community. And as I prepare to step down as Editor-in-Chief, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for everything this project has given me.
When I first conceptualized JURIS, I knew I wanted to create something that would provide students with digestible, engaging, and thought-provoking insights into the commercial world. The legal profession demands an acute awareness of how global markets, politics, and business decisions intersect with law, and I felt there was a need for a platform that could help students cultivate this awareness in a structured yet accessible manner. What I didn’t anticipate, however, was just how much this project would grow beyond its initial vision.
JURIS became more than a newsletter—it became a learning experience, a team effort, and a testament to the power of collaboration. Every article published was the result of tireless dedication, critical analysis, and a shared commitment to quality journalism. Our editorial team—an extraordinary group of talented, driven women—poured their time and energy into making each edition better than the last. To them, I owe my deepest thanks. Their passion, creativity, and perseverance have been the backbone of JURIS, and I am endlessly proud of what we have achieved together.
To our readers—thank you. Your engagement, feedback, and support have made this journey all the more meaningful. Knowing that JURIS has sparked discussions, broadened perspectives, and contributed to your commercial awareness has been the greatest reward of all. Whether you have been a regular reader or have just discovered us, I hope JURIS has provided you with insights that challenged and informed you.
As I step away from my role, I do so with confidence that JURIS will continue to evolve and flourish in the coming years. While the new leadership for the next academic year is yet to be decided, I have no doubt that whoever steps up will bring their own vision, drive, and innovation to this project. The foundation has been laid, but the future of JURIS is open to new possibilities, fresh ideas, and even greater impact. This, perhaps, is what excites me most—the knowledge that JURIS is not just an initiative of the past but a legacy that will continue to grow.
To those who have contributed in any way—whether by writing, editing, brainstorming ideas, or supporting us behind the scenes—know that your efforts have made a difference. JURIS exists because of you. And while my direct involvement ends here, my belief in this project remains unwavering. I will always be cheering for its success from the sidelines, knowing that it is in the hands of those who will carry it forward with the same passion and dedication.
Thank you, once again, for being part of this journey. It has been an honor and a privilege to lead JURIS, and I cannot wait to see where it goes next.
With gratitude and best wishes,
Srishti Rakhecha
